JCB Ventilator Housings to Fight Coronavirus

- April 16, 2020

When most people hear “JCB,” they think of the tough, bright yellow machines that keep farms, construction sites, and projects of all sizes moving. However, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, JCB demonstrated to the world that they’re more than just brilliant builders of diggers and loaders.

Even in the most trying times, JCB continues to amaze us with their innovation and flexibility. We’re honoured to be a part of such a phenomenal organisation with the presence of JCB in the Cayman Islands.

JCB Ventilators

When the UK faced a huge challenge: a shortage of ventilators in hospitals. The government put out a call for help, and JCB didn’t hesitate. They teamed up with Dyson and The Technology Partnership to design a brand-new ventilator, the CoVent, in record time. Talk about thinking outside the (excavator) box.

In the end, the NHS found that many patients could be treated with other types of machines, so not every ventilator was needed. But that doesn’t take away from what JCB did. They dropped everything, retooled their expertise, and put their energy into a project that could have saved thousands of lives.

As a company that sells JCB equipment every day, this makes us even prouder to stand behind the brand. It’s proof that the same spirit that builds the world’s most reliable machines also drives them to step up when the world needs it most.

So here’s to JCB. Not for just building machines, but building solutions, hope, and a whole lot of respect.
